The Girlfriend Experience Excerpt & Giveaway

The Girlfriend Experience Excerpt
©2014 DeAnna Felthauser
“This is going to be a really long week if you’re planning on ignoring me, Aiden.”
Damn it, why couldn’t she take a hint and leave him alone? If he turned around now, she would see how stiff she’d made his cock with only a kiss. “Hey, it’s me, not you, okay? I’m TGEgoing to shower, and then go to bed. You can let yourself out.”
Aiden stalked into his bathroom and slammed the door, leaving Candy standing in his bedroom without a backwards glance.
The bathroom door swung open as he was pulling his shirt over his head. His intentions of taking a brutally cold shower were halted. “What the ever-loving fuck, Candy?”
“Are you scared of little ol’ me?” Candy slung her coat off and hung it on the doorknob. Evidently, she wasn’t planning on leaving anytime soon. She crossed her arms over her chest, wearing a sassy smile on her face. It almost made him smile back. Almost.
“Scared of you? Hell no. Why would you think that?” She was staring at his crotch. The bulge he was sporting was painful enough against his zipper without her looking at it like … like she wanted him. Damn it. How long had it been since a woman had looked at him with such pure lust like that?
“Because you ran away from me like a scaredy cat. A big ol’ lumberjack look-alike scaredy cat.”
“Look, Candy, I know Darcy was trying to get us to hook up, but I’m not ready for a relationship. I’m not boyfriend material.”
“Who said anything about a relationship? I have enough shit to deal with in my life. I don’t need the added stress of a man in my life.”
Aiden looked her over as she leaned against the cabinet. She must have been poured into her tight jeans. The pale pink sweater she was wearing clung to her breasts, making him want to slide his hands underneath it and cup her perfect handfuls of soft flesh. The response she gave wasn’t what he’d expected. Not at all. There was only one way to find out what she really wanted, and in turn, get his hands on her before he went crazy.
He took the few short steps toward her, putting his hands on either side of her on the counter, pinning her with his hips. “If you don’t want a relationship, what the hell do you want?” Aiden didn’t mean for it to come out so gruff, but the scent of her fresh skin and the taste of her still on his tongue was making him want to take another sample of her sweet lips.
His voice held a note of a growl again. It made her crazy the way he held such a dominant stance, towering over her, trying to intimidate her. Poor guy, he had no idea that his demeanor was something that made her hotter than hell. She loved a rough and tumble kinda guy who was ruled by passion and aggression.
“That’s simple. I want to fuck you. That’s what I want. It’s obvious we have a mutual attraction, so why not act on it?”
Candy uncrossed her arms, watching his jaw clench and unclench. With a tilt of her hips, she rubbed her body against his erection while her arms wound around his neck. He still hadn’t moved, but she took it as a good sign and licked across the seam of his full lips, kissing him firmly.
Still nothing, other than another rumble low in his throat and the strained tick of his jaw muscles.
“Let me in, Aiden. Let’s take some aggression out on one another. No strings. Just sex. Hot, rough, sex.”

Granting Wishes Release Day

The final installment in the Wishes Series "Granting Wishes" is here!
If you haven't picked up the series yet, now is the time to do it! A Million Wishes and Reflecting On Wishes are on sale for only $0.99 each!

The conclusion of the Wishes series is the story of twins, Delilah and Dominic Cane. Will their journey in finding love end in happily ever after’s for them both?
Delilah and Jake- Delilah is ready for love with her stubborn cowboy, but will Jake’s past continue haunting him and prevent him from moving forward with the woman who holds the key to his hardened heart?
Dominic and Chelsea- Chelsea’s heart has always ached for Dominic's love, but he’s never been ready to settle down. Can two friends that grew up together move past the friend phase, or will his ex-girlfriend ruin their chances when she comes back to town?
The wedding had been a small affair with close friends and family, but her mom had invited Jake and his adorable little girl Roxy since they had been working closely with him for the last several months in the renovations of Kringle Farms. Lilah knew her mom did it because apparently everyone knew she had a crush on Jake and it was her feeble attempt at throwing them together again. That was such a waste since he went out of his way to avoid her completely. In fact, he probably wouldn’t have even spoken to her if sweet, little Roxy hadn’t made a beeline for her as soon as she saw her. The big jerk may not feel the same way about her as she did him, but she certainly had a friend in Roxy. The girl was an absolute delight. She definitely had more personality than her father. That was for sure.
Scrolling through her messages, Lilah rested her head on the edge of the tub. It became clear that was a bad decision when her phone beeped and a picture of Mr. Tall Blond and Brooding popped up. Good Lord, have mercy! Even with that stern look on his face he was still sexy as hell. It was a wonder she didn’t drop her phone in the water. It was bad enough her mind went south when she realized she was looking at him while she was in the tub, naked and thinking about him. Her skin flushed like she’d been caught with her hand in the proverbial cookie jar.
Sitting up straight, Lilah slid the green bar over on her phone to open the text. It took a moment for her figure out she was getting lightheaded because she was holding her breath. Letting it out in whoosh, she read something that sent her heart thumping.
Saturday December 21st from 4pm-8pm EST we're having a release party on Facebook with many prizes and lots of fun! Join in the fun at the Release Party! The event is hosted by Reading by the Book.

Did you miss last weeks teaser? You can find it here: Tuesday Teaser #1
This week is a direct continuation. :)

Jake- Where you at? Disappeared on me. :-/

He noticed she was gone. Lilah gave a whoop and fist pumped like she was at the club.

Lilah- I’m upstairs. In the tub.
Jake- …naked?
Lilah- …don’t you get naked before getting in the tub?

Was this really happening? Lilah pinched herself to make sure she hadn’t fallen asleep in the tub and was simply having the best dream ever. “Ouch!” Holy crap, it was really happening!

Jake- Showers. Not tub. Very naked.
Lilah- Good to know. Try a bath some time. Again, very naked!
Jake- …dammit.
Lilah- What?
Jake- You’re naked.
Lilah- And?
Jake- I’m jealous of your tub.
Lilah- Oh… ;-)

They had flirted a few times before, even shared one really hot kiss that ended in disaster. But this was...different. Different because her heart had been aching the entire day because he’d been ignoring her. Avoiding her, even. It was like when she was out at his farm, helping with the renovations and he treated her like she was a nuisance. Yet she still kept going back, volunteering, spending time with Roxy. Other times he was sweet as pie, asking her opinion on things, praising her for her hard work and knowledge. And sometimes, well…sometimes he even looked at her like he wanted her. Those times were the best.

Jake- Coming back?
Lilah- Wasn’t planning on it. Miss me?
Jake- Maybe…
Lilah- Shouldn’t have ignored me all day. :-(
Jake- *sigh*
Jake- Wasn’t ignoring.
Lilah- Then what’s your problem with me?
Jake- Not a problem with you.
Lilah- You were being a jerk to me…Again! :-(
Jake- Never mind. Gonna head home. Get the kiddo in bed.
Lilah- Call me later?
Jake- You looked gorgeous today.
Lilah- Aww, thank you!
Lilah- You were handsome too. As always.

When he didn’t reply, Lilah figured he was getting Roxy and saying his goodbyes. But a half hour later she still hadn’t heard anything and she was tired of waiting. Once she was out of the tub and wrapped in a towel, she texted him again.

Lilah- You okay?
Jake- Ya. Home now. Roxy getting pj’s on.
Lilah- Give her a kiss for me…k?
Jake- What about for me?

This time, Lilah did drop her phone. Thank goodness it was on her rug instead of the tile floor. It wouldn’t serve her well to not finish this conversation this very moment.

Lilah- What about you?
Jake- Giving kisses to my kid but not me?
Lilah- Didn’t think you ever wanted to kiss me again.
Jake- …bullshit.
Lilah- Then why don’t you?
Jake- Pick you up, fifteen minutes.
Lilah- …um. Okay.
